VIRGINIA – As three rural clinics in Virginia are set to close and 350,000 Virginians are facing healthcare cuts, Winsome Earle-Sears is skipping her own bus tour stops to hide from Virginians and dodge tough questions.

• Real Issues: Just an hour away from the Shenandoah Valley where three rural clinics are closing because of the Trump tax law that Sears backs, elected leaders and Virginians called out Winsome Earle-Sears for supporting the healthcare cuts during the Charlottesville “Real Issues” tour press conference. The good news for Sears is that Charlottesville was too far from her "bus tour" stops for these Virginians to call her out there too. 

Winsome’s Losses:

• Sears MIA in Operation Defend and Deliver: Virginians are asking “where is Winsome?” as Winsome Earle-Sears skips stop after stop on her bus tour with no explanation. Sears has reportedly skipped stops in Harrisonburg, Lexington, Wytheville, Abingdon, and Marion. 
• Medicaid Misinformation: In a new interview with WSLS, Winsome Earle-Sears again lies to Virginians saying that no one is losing healthcare because of the Trump tax law that she backs. Sears previously told the same lie during an interview with CNN. 
• World Contraception Day: Today as Virginians celebrate World Contraception Day, they’re reminded that Winsome Earle-Sears has an extreme record opposing protections for contraception and birth control and attacking reproductive rights including casting the deciding vote against the Right to Contraception Act. She also left a handwritten note that said she is “morally opposed” to the constitutional amendment that would protect reproductive freedom in Virginia, including contraception, abortion, and IVF.

As Sears backs Trump’s job cuts, lies about her support for healthcare cuts and hides from voters, this week is more proof that Virginians can’t trust Sears and with her, it’s Virginians who stand to lose the most.
